Since 1995, David is an experiential educator teaching personal fortitude, teamwork, conflict resolution, leadership and followership. He helps youth groups, non-profit entities, businesses, and families.
He also instructs white water canoeing, rock climbing/rappelling, and martial arts. Through these pursuits he learned how to teach people to harness their adrenaline dumps so they can function well in stressful situations.
One of his proud moments was when the nurses, after observing the teamwork between his wife and him during childbirth, asked if he would consider being a doula. He took it as a compliment. Hopefully, it was meant that way.
To round out his years of experience, he adds a Master's in Administrative Studies with a Communication Emphasis and a Master's Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Missouri State University. Researchers confirm that the principles David learned and teaches in challenging wilderness circumstances are also effective in challenging every day life.
David feels joyfully alive when he is presenting these principles in seminars, mediating or coaching people through their challenges, and it shows.
